Marsha Chapman Powell of Kinston announces the engagement of her daughter, Candace VerSonya Chapman, to Troy Lenrie Sargeant of St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands. A Sept. 28 wedding will be held at the Community Council for the Arts in Kinston. The bride-to-be is also the daughter of the late Sylvester Powell.
