Phillis Pearsall Swinson of La Grange announces the engagement of her daughter, LaPorscha Tiotta Faison, to Donta Antawn Gardner, son of Janice Pridgen of Goldsboro and Donald Gardner of La Grange. The bride-to-be is also the daughter of Ernest Faison and Frederick Swinson, both of La Grange. A Sept. 14 wedding will be held at Best Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Goldsboro.
