Bobby Roberts of Bassett, Va. announces the engagement of his daughter, Kathy Lynn Roberts, to James “Jay” Lawrence Dudley III, both of Willow Spring, son of Mary Helen Dudley of Grifton and the late James “Jimmy” Lawrence Dudley Jr. He is the grandson of Freeman “Bud” Casey Sr. and Helen Hardy Casey of Kinston. The bride to be is also the daughter of the late Gladys Roberts. An Aug. 2, 2014, wedding will be held at Granbery United Methodist Church in Martinsville, Va.
