Roy Clifford Whaley of Cove City announces the engagement of his daughter, Casey Erin Whaley of Wilson, to James Andrew Fitzgerald Childres of Kings Mountain, son of James Nathan Childers and Martha Nicholson Anderson, also of Kings Mountain. A July 26, 2014, wedding will be held at First Christian Church in Wilson. The bride to be is the daughter of the late Phillipia McCoy Whaley. She is the granddaughter of Phillip Grayson McCoy of Cove City, Dorothy Davis Sharpe-Gomez of Kinston, and the late Harold Mercer Whaley who lived in Kinston and Doris Grace Wetherington Jackson who lived in Grafton, Va. The future groom is the grandson of Patricia Childers, Jessy Boyd Nicholson of Kings Mountain and the late Virginia Stiles Nicholson, and the late James Albert and Ann Dellinger Childers who also lived in Kings Mountain.
